Michael O'Reilly

Michael O'Reilly is currently the VP of Business Development at Diagnomics where he is engaging strategic biopartners to generate revenue and strategic IT partners to create important competitive advantages for the company, as well as the initial marketing related activity. Michael has extensive experiences in executive management, business development, and sales with early stage technology companies. His primary focus is strategic business development, specifically establishing partnerships with industry leading technology companies and raising venture capital.

Prior to Diagnomics Michael was VP of Business Development of the Girvan Institute Technology, a technology incubator with locations in Los Angeles and Silicon Valley. He was responsible for identifying and recruiting promising early stage companies, then assisting in their rapid growth to funding or acquisition. In addition Michael's responsibilities included IP transfer from The Aerospace Corporation, a Girvan strategic partner, as well as business development activity for international affiliates including Micro Tech India.

Prior to joining the Girvan Institute of Technology, Michael was the VP of Business Development for StreetDeck, one of the early pioneers in car computing. As a result of his BD efforts, StreetDeck developed a strong strategic partnership with Intel which led to the joint development of the first car computing hub, as well as StreetDeck software being predominantly featured in a very early Intel proof of concept tablet product launch.

Before joining StreetDeck, he was the VP of Business Development at ICC, a broadband access provider. His primary accomplishments included raising venture capital, developing a strategy to acquire the customer bases of financially distressed competitors during the .com downturn, as well as assisting in closing large accounts all aspects of marketing.

Prior to ICC he was the Director of Business Development at Flashcom, an Intel Capital funded DSL provider that grew to 650+ employees in less than two years. At the height Flashcom’s success it was the largest and fastest growing independent DSL provider in the United States. As the company’s first Business Development Michael’s primary responsibilities were strategic alliances and partnerships; the biggest achievements included closing the first DSL OEM agreement with Hewlett Packard and a first DSL retail distribution agreement with Best Buy. Prior to Flashcom, Michael was the Southwest Regional Manager for American Power Conversion (APC) where he executed on a channel strategy pioneering APC’s presence in Southern California during the company’s growth from approximately $50 Million to over $1 Billion.
